Scissor Lift
This project focused on the design and structural analysis of a scissor lift capable of safely lifting a 5 kN load. The goal was to ensure both functionality and safety through detailed engineering analysis and 3D modeling.
The design process began with defining key load cases at different table positions and offsets, followed by developing free-body diagrams to understand force distribution. Stress calculations were performed on critical structural components such as arms, joints, and pin holes, while welds were evaluated under tension, shear, and bending to guarantee joint integrity.
The outcome was a fully functional CAD model of the lift, supported by a complete set of analytical validations that confirm mechanical integrity, load-bearing capacity, and safe operation. This project demonstrates the integration of theoretical engineering principles with practical design to create a robust and reliable lifting system.
